Creation's Fast Clean-up

One of the questions I have been asked about the CCC geologic model is how early man could have withstood all the catastrophes. Part of the answer seems to lie in our misunderstanding of how quickly the processes that God built within the Creation to clean up disasters actually work. A recent example of this was the amount of time estimated by scientists that the chemical pollutants released from the 2010 Deepwater Horizon offshore oil platform would persist. Instead of many years as many scientists predicted, a new study shows that the pollutants were consumed by over 50 species of microbes in just a couple of months. We still have much to learn about how the Earth and its creatures interact. This is merely one more example of how it's foolish to say the catastrophes of the past would have doomed humanity.
